Jared Graves has capped off a sensational season with victory in the 4X at the final round of the UCI World Cup Series in Schladming, Austria.
Graves (Yeti Fox Shox), who earlier this month won the World Championship in Canberra, lined up for the final round with an unbeatable lead in the Series but he was determined to finish with a flourish.
He won every round on the way to the final where he crossed the line first ahead of Romain Saladini (FRA) and Johannes Fishbach (GER).
Saladini's second place bumped him up to third in the final standings behind Graves and Dutchman Joost Wichman.
"It's been a good season," said Graves. "Tonight I was confident [of winning], but there were a lot of interesting moves and crashes happening out there. I wanted to go out on a strong finish to the season, so I knew what I had to do. There were a couple of small mistakes, but nothing that cost me, so it was a good night."
